Crisis Management
Crisis management is primary to public safety. We encounter unforeseen and extreme events in our day-to-day activities- public violence, accidents, public defamation, civil disturbance among others. The impacts of the identified crisis and many more range from low to high depending on the management and crisis readiness. Research has revealed that crisis show the preparedness level of every organisation (private or public). Public security is responsible for the safety of the communities and it is important for all emergency responders to respond to management demands. It has been identified that instead of public security sector engaging in crisis management, they are majorly involved in managing the crisis. The former is a level of preparedness to prevent or mitigate the effects and impacts of crisis while the latter is the responsive actions when crisis occur.
